Things do not get better by leaving your finances alone. In fact, my experience is that the longer you ignore your financial circumstances, the worse things gets.
I’ve personally experienced the stress of financial struggle. I’ve also observed it in people I’ve worked with.
There’s absolutely nothing more grueling than dealing with financial hardship.
On the flip side, I’ve seen the immense relief that comes with finally facing reality and taking charge of your finances.
For women, the consequences of not dealing with our money is compounded in retirement.
By retirement age, the average working female has saved only fifty-nine percent of what her male counterpart has saved, according to the U.S. Government Accountability Office. Which means nearly twice as many retired women live in poverty than men, according to WISER research.
Ladies, it is totally in our control to not become a statistic.
Just remember this:
Financial avoidance = stress.
Making a decision + taking action = financial peace.
So, go ahead, make a committed decision. Then take empowered action. I know you can do it!
You got this!
Hello, I’m Patti. I’m an award-winning, certified life & money coach and retirement planner. I’ve worked with hundreds of women, school teachers, and their families to create a big-picture plan for their money and secure retirement. As a result, I noticed how women do money differently than men. Yet, the unique (emotional) needs of women have not been well served by the financial services industry. Which is why I’m super passionate about this work. I’m on a mission to teach women how to heal their relationship with money, take charge of their future and create a life they truly love.
