What I’m currently reading – International Women’s Day

One of my favorite things to do when I’m traveling out of town is to visit the local bookstore. Today, in honor of Women’s History Month, I was inspired to pick up these books yesterday in Napa Valley.

I’m loving Vibrate Higher Daily, by Lalah Delia. I so relate to the message that everything is energy and we are energetic beings. Whether or not we’re conscious of it, we are all communicating with each other and the world around us on an energetic level.

By living in awareness of our own vibration (the level at which our energy vibrates), we are able to discern what depletes our energy and what drains it. We can then be intentional about who and what we choose to associate with.

Empowering Women: A Guide to Loving Yourself, Breaking Rules and Bringing Good into Your Life is a little out-dated, but I was craving some Louise Hay energy & wisdom on this International Women’s Day. Nevertheless, I place huge importance on the message that true change comes from within, which is Hay’s overarching message here.

Thriving as an Empath by Dr. Judith Orloff….oh my goodness! I soooo needed these reminders! As an Empath, I find myself quite in-tune to the energy of those around me, which is why I tend to need a lot of time by myself, especially after being in a large crowd or attending an event. This book offers 365 daily tips for practicing extreme self-care and protecting our energy so we can thrive and engage with those around us and not be so depleted.

Audacity to Be Queen by Gina DeVee is a fabulous little gem. Gina is all about the divine living lifestyle as a female entrepreneur. She teaches us that stepping into our calling to serve women in the world is a Divine calling. That God created us for such a time as this to be a light in a dark world. To show other women what’s possible when we step into the highest version of ourselves and go after our dreams as if our lives depended on it because most certainly it does.

Happy Women’s History Month!
